Happy Birthday TLP !!!

Happy Birthday! TLP Turns 4!

And my how we've grown! So we're having a party on September 29th! Come and celebrate our fourth birthday with a full fledged dance! We'll start the night off at 7:30pm with FREE lessons, followed by live performances, food, and then open the night up with a LIVE BAND, and all sorts of fun stuff! Thank you for being with us and come celebrate four fantastic years!

• 7:30 pm - Intermediate Dips & Tricks w/ Scott & Joanna

• 7:30 pm - Advanced Aerials w/ Laura & Mike (must have a partner)

TLP goes to Washington, DC!

Last weekend, TLP instructors and student traveled to Washington, DC for the International Lindy Hop Championships. We competed, performed, and had a rockin' good time. Check out these videos and placements from the various competitions!

- Eric Lim & Laura Glaess won 3rd in the Pro Am


- Mike Roberts & Laura Glaess made it to the finals in the Champions division


- Mike Roberts & Laura Glaess won 4th for their Classic choreography


- Laura Glaess danced with Peter Strom in the Invitational Jack and Jill


- Sarah Simon made it to finals of the open Jack and Jill


- Chia-Wen & Laura Glaess danced a pro-am so good, the Judges thought it was choreography!


- Spokey Feet, the Level IV ILHC team, had a fantastic performance

TLP Rocked the Rockies!

TLP went to Denver, CO this weekend for Lindy on the Rocks and brought home prizes in almost every competition! Check it out:

Camp Jitterbug Win!

Congrats to TLP instructor Laura Glaess for winning first place in the Jack and Jill at Camp Jitterbug with partner Mikey Pedroza. Check it out!

TLP Competes!

Congrats to our very own Laura Glaess! She won first place at Blues Shout earlier this month in the Open Jack and Jill with Dexter Santos. Check out their spotlight below, starting at about 3 minutes in.

TLP Travels!

Congrats to TLP Instructors Mike Roberts and Laura Glaess for winning first place at Boston Tea Party's strictly lindy competition! Way to go guys! Hopefully videos of this awesome competition will be made available soon. We will surely post them if they are.

On another note, April classes start tomorrow! Check out Brooks and Laura's level 4 class: A Different Perspective
This class will cover different connections, different endpoints, different rhythms, different height changes, and all over different dance skillz that not only make you a better leader / follower, but also give you a different perspective on movement and music.
Be prepared to have your minds blown!

March Open House

We are having an Open House!

Come meet us at Tapestry Dance Co. on March 31st for a night of dancing and enjoyment.

There will be two free classes beginning at 7:30pm:
- Shim Sham (beginner +) with Scott and Vanessa
- Friggin' Cool Style (intermediate +) with Mike and Laura

There will be a very special performance by TLP's performance team for you to enjoy and see more about what we do.

TLP Competes!

Lone Star Championships, right here in Austin, had some of the most amazing competitions of every level that we'll see this year. Chia-wen won first in the intermediate Jack and Jill. Instructors, Vanessa Shields and Laura Glaess also took home some prizes. Vanessa won 1st in the advanced strictly and Laura won 2nd in the invitational Jack and Jill. Congratulations to everyone who competed for doing such a great job! Check out some video footage of the competitions below!
